The education I received in the VBMA gave me insight into the business side of veterinary medicine as well as provided education on effective communication. Communication is a vital component to being a professional, especially a veterinarian. Being able to read  body language and respond appropriately is key to building trusting relationships, inside and outside of the workplace. I have a long-term goal of practice ownership, or partnership, and the knowledge I gained in the VBMA progam has given me a good foundation to expand and grow on.
