When emergencies with animals happen, people are always going to look to the veterinarian for direction. It is one thing to know how to medically manage an animal, but it is an entirely different aspect of care when trying to remove them safely from a dangerous situation. This course gave me a general understanding of basic strategy skills for problem solving as well as easy preventative measures that I can share with my clients. Also, I learned the importance of coordinating with local first responders and developing an "action-plan". Having a team that is already prepared before an emergency arises, could mean the difference between life and death of the animal(s).
