It's never too late to become, what you always wanted to be.    - George Eliot

About Me...

I grew up in Orange Beach, Alabama. Most tourists remember the Hangout Music Festival, hurricane Ivan and the BP Oil spill...no we do not still have oil on our beaches. But for me it is home. This is where I learned to play softball, drive a car, and where my dad walked me out on the football field for homecoming. The beach is comfort for me and my favorite time to go is the fall. This is when it is too cold for tourists and you can spend hours in your sweats with nothing but the sound of the waves to entertain your thoughts.

I always played a variety of team sports but my true love was softball. After graduating from Gulf Shores High School in 2004, I got to play softball for the University of Alabama in Huntsville. It was one of the hardest, yet rewarding, experiences of my life and I miss playing every day. Afterwards I transferred to Auburn University and completed by B.S. in Zoology in 2008 before completing my DVM in 2016.

I currently live in Middlesboro, KY with my husband Andrew. We were married in March 2017 and are enjoying the newlywed life. Well, as much as our schedules allow anyway. Andrew is currently a student at Lincoln Memorial University, which brought us to the area. He is scheduled to start clinical rotation in the summer of 2018, with graduation being August 2019! We have a lot to look forward to and are excited for this next adventure in our life.
